Retail Executive ConferenceRegistration Now Open for Annual Retail Executive Conference
NFRA’s Annual Retail Executive Conference will be held April 26-28, 2010, at the Tempe Mission Palms in Tempe, AZ. The Conference Agenda focuses on bringing delegates up-to-date on the latest industry and consumer trends, such as health and wellness and navigating a tough economic climate. Industry executives will be able to participate in many informative sessions, such as “Looking Into the Mind of the Shopper” with Michael Sansolo from MorningNewsBeat.com and “Creating Talkable Brands” with Paul Rand of the Word of Mouth Marketing Association. 2010 ConventionMark Your Calendar for the 2010 National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Convention
NFRA’s 2010 Convention is slated for October 16-19, 2010, at the Hilton San Francisco in San Francisco, CA. This all-business Convention enables attendees to meet one-on-one with more than a dozen companies in just a few days. Last year over 140 retailers reserved meeting rooms to conduct business with Convention delegates. Plan now to attend this important business event. Registration will begin in March.

Sargento Foods Inc. announced the appointment of Elizabeth Neils to the position of Associate Marketing Manager – Consumer Products Division and the promotion of Jim Schafer to Senior Director of Marketing – Food Service Division. Neils will be working with the Natural Sliced Cheese product line to analyze the business using Nielsen data, executing consumer promotion programs and tracking the marketing budget. Her background includes work with Carlson Consulting Enterprise, Kimberly-Clark and Kohnstamm Communications. Schafer previously served as Senior Manager of Business Development with Sargento. His prior food service marketing experiences include positions with Tyson and Ocean Spray.

Henningsen Cold Storage Co. announced the appointment of Todd Lanter as Director of Transportation for Henningsen Transportation Services. Lanter brings extensive industry experience to the position, previously working in supervisory transportation roles for third-party logistics companies, such as Ozburn-Hessey Logistics (OHL) and Lanter Logistics.
