Produce for Better Health has created a Video Center area on the Fruits & Veggies-More Matters® consumer website, www.fruitsandveggiesmorematters.org. Produce celebrity Michael Marks guides visitors through the process of checking different fruits and vegetables for ripeness. He outlines proper storage methods, demonstrates healthy, fast recipe preparation step by step, and offers many other fun and useful tidbits of produce information. Over 270 different videos are available now and new video content will be added as it becomes available.

Chefs and foodservice leaders from America's top chain restaurants, volume foodservice, hotels, and supermarkets will join key members of the fruit and vegetable industry for Produce First! American Menus Initiative, January 25, 2009, at The Culinary Institute of America's (CIA) Greystone Campus in St. Helena, California. This collaboration between Produce for Better Health Foundation (PBH) and CIA is designed to develop options for making fruits and vegetables more prevalent on menus and for away-from-home purchases. This year's meeting will highlight culinary strategies from Mexican kitchens, Mediterranean kitchens, California kitchens and the Asian kitchens of Japan and India. It will also feature a chef/operator and produce industry dialog on the value of fruits and vegetables and putting produce first on American menus. These and other sessions are designed to provide further insight for Produce First's main event, the hands-on preparation of fruit and vegetable items for all parts of the menu.
