NFRA Convention Hosts School Foodservice Consortium 75,000+ Student School Districts will have Forum at the National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Convention October 13-16 Harrisburg, PA – The National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association (NFRA) is pleased to host a School Foodservice Consortium at its annual Convention, October 15-16, 2007 at the San Antonio Marriot Rivercenter in San Antonio, Texas. The Consortium is specifically designed as a forum for school foodservice directors from large districts with 75,000 or more students to discuss their unique environment and conditions that exist in connection with running a business and addressing student nutrition and health needs. The Consortium will also offer an opportunity for School Foodservice Directors and Manufacturers to work together in identifying critical issues and generating best practices and solutions that are mutually beneficial. The program can only accommodate 25 manufacturer representatives, one per company, on a first come first serve basis. The Consortium will meet on Monday, October 15 from 9:00 am – 4:30 pm and Tuesday, October 16 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Facilitator Tom Harley from Harley Consulting and Coaching, St. Paul, MN, will direct the meeting. Harley will send a survey to School Foodservice Directors prior to the meeting to target the topics that will be most useful to the largest number of participants. Registration is complimentary for Directors. Manufacturer attendees pay the regular Convention rate of $550 for NFRA members and $1,250 for nonmembers. Registration includes all meal functions on Monday and Tuesday. Accommodations are the responsibility of the registrant. To register, or for more information about the Consortium, contact Marlene Redden at (717) 657-8601.
