National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association Elects
New Board, Officers at 59th Annual Membership Meeting

Las Vegas, Nevada—The National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association (NFRA) elected its Association Officers and Members of the Board of Directors for 2003-2004 at its Annual Membership Meeting and Luncheon held October 21 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Membership Meeting was held in conjunction with the National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Convention.

Bob Smith, Division Vice President for Customer Development, Nestle U.S.A. has been re-elected Chairman of the Board of the National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association. Smith has been active in the association for many years, serving as a director from 1997-1999, as Secretary from 2000-2001, as Chairman-Elect from 2001-2002, and as Chairman from 2002-2003. Smith is also a member of The Distinguished Order of Zerocrats.

Other officers sworn in at the Association’s 59th Annual Meeting were: Johnny L. Harris, Harris Teeter, Inc., Chairman-Elect; Scott Poole, Wal-Mart Super Centers, Secretary; Rich Seban, Highliner Foods, Treasurer; Ray Tarnowski, Philadelphia Warehouse & Cold Storage, Vice Chairman Foodservice; John Bottomley, Sargento Foods, Vice Chairman Refrigerated; John Annetta, White Rose Frozen Food Co., Vice Chairman Frozen.

Newly elected to the Board of Directors were: Bob Cashen, Ralphs Grocery Co.; Judy Burdett, Sysco Corp.; Nate Fisher, Ingles Markets; Rick Loesel, P & O Cold Logistics; Greg Mertes, Wal-Mart Super Centers; Jeff Reagan, Wakefern Food Corp.; Jeff Sandore, Tyson Foods, Inc.; Stan Timbrook, Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc.; and Andy Urban, ConAgra Frozen Prepared Foods.

Elected for a second term on the Board of Directors were: Jerry Cochran, Acosta Sales & Marketing; Dean Gray, Advantage Sales & Marketing; Steve Gunn, Associated Foodservices; Mary Kate Harrison, Hillsborough County Schools; and Judson R. Wells, The Kroger Co.
NFRA is a non-profit trade association comprised of over 650 member companies representing all segments of the frozen and refrigerated foods industry. NFRA has been serving the frozen food industry since 1945 and recently in 2001 also began serving the refrigerated foods industry.
