Opportunities to Conduct Business was Focus of National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Convention

Harrisburg, PA —The National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Convention held recently October 8-12, 2005, in San Francisco, CA, provided an immediate return on investment for the over 1,100 delegates in attendance. The Convention, sponsored by the National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association (NFRA), is unique in its format of one-on-one business meetings. Registrations soared this year and included over 150 retailers reserving a record number of meeting rooms. Nine of the top ten supermarket chains, as ranked by Progressive Grocer, were onsite and available to meet with Convention attendees.

ìThis Convention is so valuable to delegates because they can meet with a dozen or more customers in a single location in the course of several days. It saves everyone time and money,î said Nevin B. Montgomery, President & CEO of NFRA.

The Convention is the premier event for frozen and refrigerated industry executives to make contacts, build relationships and conduct business. The agenda is structured to allow attendees the time and opportunity to meet face-to-face with executives from all segments of the industry ñ including manufacturers, retailers, sales agents, logistics providers, foodservice operators and suppliers.

All of the Convention's scheduled events were designed with networking opportunities in mind. Delegates were able to sample the newest and best frozen and refrigerated products at the opening Taste of Excellence Reception which sold out exhibit space. At the Golden Penguin Awards Reception & Banquet, over 80 awards were presented for the industry's efforts in promoting frozen and refrigerated foods to consumers throughout the year.

Planning is underway for the 2006 National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Convention to be held October 7-11, 2006 in Orlando, FL. For more information, contact NFRA at (717) 657-8601.
