Four Industry Pioneers to be Inducted into Frozen Food Hall of Fame Harrisburg, PA – The Distinguished Order of Zerocrats will honor the 2006 inductees into the Frozen Food Industry Hall of Fame during the National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Convention, October 7-10, 2006 in Orlando, Florida. A Grand Awards Reception and Banquet will be held October 10, 2006 at the Orlando World Center Marriott with a special induction ceremony for four of the industry’s great contributors. The 2006 inductees are: James H. Childers, retired Corporate Director of Merchandising and Procurement for Winn-Dixie Supermarkets and former Chairman of the National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association (NFRA); Jack H. Gunn, Jr., President of Associated Grocers, Inc. and former NFRA Chairman; the late F. Gilbert Lamb, founder of Lamb-Weston and former Chairman of the American Frozen Food Institute (AFFI); and Frederick R. Ruiz, founder and Chairman of Ruiz Foods and former AFFI Director. The Distinguished Order of Zerocrats is an organization of industry members whose purpose is to maintain the tradition of promoting the image and advancement of the frozen food industry. The Zerocrats established the Frozen Food Hall of Fame in 1990 to honor those individuals whose dedication and hard work have greatly benefited the industry. Members of the Zerocrats nominate and vote on the newest inductees, and a special industry-wide ceremony honors the imagination and innovation that have ensured the success of the frozen food industry.
