National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods
Association Elects New Officers and Directors at 60th Annual Membership
Meeting Johnny L. Harris, Category Manager Dairy, Harris Teeter, Inc., has been elected Chairman of the Board of the National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association. Harris has been active in the association for many years, serving as a Director from 1999-2000, as Vice Chairman Frozen from 2001 to 2002, as Secretary from 2002-2003, and as Chairman-Elect from 2003-2004. Harris is also a member of The Distinguished Order of Zerocrats. Other Officers sworn in at the Associations 60th Annual Meeting were: Scott Poole, Wal-Mart Super Centers, Chairman-Elect; Rich Seban, Highliner Foods, Secretary; Ray Tarnowski, Philadelphia Warehouse & Cold Storage, Treasurer; Rick Loesel, P & O Cold Logistics, Vice Chairman Foodservice; John Bottomley, Sargento Foods, Vice Chairman Refrigerated; John Annetta, White Rose Frozen Food Co., Vice Chairman Frozen. Newly elected to the Board of Directors were: Jim Bruffy, Rich-SeaPak Corporation; Ken Cassara, Wegman Food & Pharmacy; Kevin Schwab, Sara Lee Bakery Group; and Jeff Thomas, Michael Foods Inc. Elected for a second term on the Board of Directors were: Jim Dunnigan, Crossmark; Jerry Edel, Tropicana/PepsiCo Beverages & Foods; Bryan Nichols, The Fresh Market; Gary Spinazze, Nash Finch Company; Jim OSullivan, The Schwans Food Company; and Randy Poznansky, CM Packaging; NFRA is a non-profit trade association representing all segments of the frozen and refrigerated foods industry. Headquartered in Harrisburg, PA, NFRA is the sponsor of March National Frozen Food Month, June Dairy Month, June/July Summer Favorites Ice Cream & Novelties promotion and October Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Festival. NFRA holds the annual National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Convention in October.
