National Frozen &
Refrigerated Foods Convention Created Business Opportunities for the Industry "The value of this Convention is the opportunity delegates have to meet with dozens of customers in the course of several days. It saves everyone the time and money of scheduling numerous business trips throughout the year," said Nevin B. Montgomery, President & CEO of NFRA. The Convention is the premier event for frozen and refrigerated industry executives to conduct business. Bringing together all segments of the industry including manufacturers, retailers, sales agents, logistics providers and suppliers the Convention allows attendees to conduct more business in less time. Delegates routinely cite networking and business appointments to be the top reasons for attendance. The Convention opened with the blockbuster Taste of Excellence Reception which was sold-out by manufacturers showcasing their newest and best frozen and refrigerated products. A new addition to the Convention this year was a new product packaging display featuring those companies that are financial contributors to the Bring Us To Your Table! all-industry consumer marketing campaign. Also, a special Golden Penguin Awards Reception and Banquet featured the awards presentation and entertainment by The Capitol Steps comedy troupe and drew a record crowd. Planning is underway for the 2005 National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Convention to be held October 8-12, 2005 in San Francisco, CA. For more information, contact NFRA at (717) 657-8601.
