Business Meetings Are Focus of Convention
2005 National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Convention Slated for October 8-12

Harrisburg, PA – The 2005 National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Convention provides a unique opportunity for frozen and refrigerated food industry executives to conduct face-to-face business meetings with multiple customers in just a few days. The National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association (NFRA), sponsor of the Convention, will hold this year’s event October 8-12, at the Hilton San Francisco, California.

This premier business event is designed to bring together leading companies from every segment of the industry in one venue to conduct more business in less time. Last year, the Convention had over 1100 delegates and the largest number of retailers reserving customer meeting rooms in the Convention’s history.

The Convention—themed A Golden Opportunity—allows ample time for conducting business, as well as provides valuable networking opportunities. From beginning to end, every Convention event is structured to bring all segments of the frozen and refrigerated foods industry together for valuable interaction.

The Convention will kick off with the popular Taste of Excellence Reception where frozen and refrigerated food companies can showcase their latest products. An annual Convention highlight, the Taste of Excellence gives delegates the chance to meet with industry colleagues while sampling the newest products in frozen and refrigerated foods.

This year’s schedule features Monday morning breakfast speaker Robert Novak, journalist and political commentator, followed by a general session presented by Willard Bishop Consulting which will focus on the State of Grocery Retailing Today and the Importance of Cold Space. Sports personality, Dick Vitale will be Tuesday’s breakfast speaker followed by a general session with RQA, Inc. on Crisis Management and Product Recall in the Retail and Foodservice Industries. In addition, School Foodservice Roundtables will be held where delegates can meet with school foodservice insiders to discuss relevant topics in a roundtable atmosphere.

Closing the Convention, a special awards reception and banquet will honor the Golden Penguin Award winners for March National Frozen Food Month, June Dairy Month and the June/July Summer Favorites Ice Cream & Novelties promotion. Special entertainment for this gala event will be provided by The Don Watson Band.
