June Dairy Month

 

""NFRA is making June Dairy Month a family matter in 2010 by Building Healthy Families - through quality products and quality time.  Set this theme in motion to generate excitement, promote refrigerated dairy and enhance customer experience at store level.

23 Million National FSI Circulation

On June 6, 2010, a two-page FSI will be distributed via the newspaper to 23 million consumers.  It will include coupons and product shots of the participating brands, as well as announce the Building Healthy Families theme.  The FSI will also feature NFRA's collaboration with Mr. Food, the new Easy Home Meals Fan Page on Facebook, and direct consumers to the sweepstakes hosted on www.EasyHomeMeals.com.

Consumer Sweepstakes

The $10,000 Building Healthy Families Sweepstakes will draw additional consumer exposure this year with a spotlight in both the FSI and Easy Home Meals Facebook page.  Consumers can enter online at www.EasyHomeMeals.com.  NFRA members are encouraged to promote the sweepstakes as an added value to the consumers.

NEW Mr. Food Show for June Dairy Month 

NFRA’s partnership with Mr. Food continues with a special show devoted to June Dairy Month that will air on June 9th.  Viewers will learn the great variety and value available as Mr. Food explains the many benefits of using refrigerated and dairy products straight from the refrigerated grocery aisle.

NEW Facebook Fan Page

Easy Home Meals is NFRA's consumer Facebook Fan Page.  More online presence means more consumer attention, and June Dairy Month will be featured prominently throughout the promotion.  Facebook Fans will be able to link to the consumer sweepstakes, look through refrigerated food recipes, and discover new June products. 

Point of Sale Materials

Check out the new Banner for June featuring Mr. Food, as well as the usual June Dairy Month and Cool • Tasty • Wholesome - Refrigerated Foods POS.  An Idea Book offering promotional ideas and showing all the POS items will be available shortly.

Consumer Website

NFRA's consumer website, www.EasyHomeMeals.com, will feature the $10,000 Building Healthy Families Sweepstakes, drawing thousands of consumer visits in June.  Visitors to the site can also find out more about the June Dairy Month sponsoring brands and refrigerated food tips and recipes.

Consumer Media Initiative

Consumers can learn about the many savings opportunities attainable in the refrigerated aisles in June from radio spots and a press release distributed by NFRA to media outlets across the country.  An issue of the Stay Cool consumer e-newsletter will also be devoted entirely to the promotion and link consumers directly to the sweepstakes.

"GoldenGolden Penguin Awards

June Dairy Month will offer another opportunity to win the prestigious Golden Penguin Award for outstanding merchandising during June. Awards will be presented at the National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Convention in San Francisco, CA, October 16-19, 2010.
