NFRA is partnering with Twentieth Century Fox for the
theater release of Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs. This is a great opportunity to
leverage the June 2009 movie release to generate excitement, promote
refrigerated dairy and enhance customer experience at store level.

Dairy...Healthy for the Whole Herd
The creative concept, Dairy...Healthy for the Whole Herd, will tie together Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs with
efforts to promote refrigerated foods during June Dairy Month. The thematic
will be used in the national FSI, on POS materials and on NFRA’s consumer
website.
21 Million National FSI Circulation
A two-page FSI circulated to 21 million
consumers will drop on May 31, 2009. It will include coupons and product photos
of the participating brands. The FSI will also announce June Dairy Month and
the consumer sweepstakes hosted on www.EasyHomeMeals.com.
Consumer Sweepstakes
Promoted nationally in the FSI the $7,500 Sweepstakes will
attract consumer interest and entries. Consumers can enter online at www.EasyHomeMeals.com. NFRA members
are encouraged to promote the sweepstakes as an added value to consumers.
Point of Sale Materials
POS materials featuring the Ice Age characters will be available, as well as
generic June Dairy Month POS. An Idea Book offering promotional ideas and
showing all the POS items will be available.
Consumer Website
NFRA’s redesigned consumer website, www.EasyHomeMeals.com,
will feature the sweepstakes and the June Dairy Month sponsoring brands.
Visitors to the site can also find refrigerated food tips and recipes.
Consumer Media Initiative
A press release and radio spot will be distributed to media outlets
across the country announcing the many savings opportunities consumers can find
in the refrigerated aisles in June. NFRA will also devote an issue of its
consumer e-newsletter, Stay Cool, to
the promotion and link consumers directly to the sweepstakes.
Golden Penguin Awards
June Dairy Month will offer another opportunity to win the prestigious Golden
Penguin Award for outstanding merchandising during June. Awards will be
presented at the National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Convention in
Washington, DC, October 17-20, 2009.
