| NFRA’s annual October promotion will bring the message that frozens are Cool Food for Kids to children and parents through an in-school outreach program. Cool Food for Kids In-School Marketing Program
NFRA will collaborate with Young Minds Inspired, experts in educational outreach programs, to create in-school marketing materials for 20,000 elementary schools across the country. YMI will develop and distribute a packet including a Teacher’s Guide, Classroom Poster, reproducible Student Project pages and Parent Take-Home Information all about frozen foods. It is expected this program will reach up to 2 million students and their families with positive messages about nutrition, exercise and the benefits of frozen foods generating more than 48 million impressions.

Parent Sweepstakes
The Cool Food for Kids parent sweepstakes worth $6,500 in prizes will feature a grand prize Family Ski or Sea Trip for 4, first prize Trek bicycles, and second prize Nintendo Wii Fit packages keeping with the theme of leading an active, healthy lifestyle. The sweepstakes will be promoted in the student take-home materials. Consumers can enter online at www.EasyHomeMeals.com. NFRA members can link their website directly to the sweepstakes entry page.
Teacher Sweepstakes
To encourage usage of the program, teachers who receive the materials can enter a prize drawing for one of twenty $50 gift cards to a school/office supply store to purchase supplies for their classroom. A teacher response card gauges the use and reach of the program and enters the teacher into the prize drawing. .
EasyHomeMeals Consumer Website
Our consumer web site www.EasyHomeMeals.com will see hundreds of thousands of consumer visits during the month of October. The site highlights the October sponsoring manufacturers and links back to their respective web sites, as well as providing consumers with important frozen food information, benefits, meal solution ideas, recipes, tips and more.
Stay Cool Consumer Newsletter
NFRA’s consumer newsletter will be emailed to over 100,000 consumers in early October, promoting the Cool Food for Kids. This e-newsletter is available to NFRA members for distribution to desired targets.
Media Support
Consumer media initiatives will include a print news release distribution to over 10,000 newspapers across the countr. The October print release will also be translated and distributed to over 600 Hispanic publications.
