Retail Executive Conference Focuses on Key Issues Impacting the Frozen and Refrigerated Foods Industry

Harrisburg, PA—NFRA’s 18th Annual Retail Executive Conference will be held April 26-28, 2010 at the Tempe Mission Palms Hotel & Conference Center in Tempe, AZ. It offers industry executives the perfect opportunity to explore and discuss the latest consumer and industry trends in both an informal atmosphere and a professional networking environment.
The Conference will open at 1:00 PM on Monday, April 26th with two recreational options—the Greater Penguin Open Golf Tournament and the brand new NFRA Fishing Tournament, followed by the evening’s Welcome Reception. Tuesday, April 27th will present an impressive line-up of interactive speaker presentations, as well as the Conference Reception and Dinner. On Wednesday, April 28th, the Conference will conclude by 9:00 AM after Breakfast and a final informational seminar.
This year’s Conference offers a variety of sessions, representing a wide range of topics concerning the frozen and refrigerated foods industry. Tuesday will begin with a presentation by Craig Rosenblum, a Partner at Willard Bishop Consulting, titled “Insight Into Key Areas that May be Impacting Your Ability to ‘Win with Shoppers,’” and will focus on the necessity to fully understand the consumer in order to achieve success. A discussion by Maryellen Molyneaux, President and Founder of the National Marketing Institute, on “Health and Wellness,” will follow, highlighting the latest consumer shopping behavior results from the 2010 Health and Wellness Trends Report.
Tuesday’s sessions will continue with “Looking into the Mind of the Shopper,” with Michael Sansolo of MorningNewsBeat.com explaining the different mindsets customers adopt when they’re shopping and the questions companies can ask internally to ensure they are taking the best possible approach to winning shopper loyalty. Finishing up the morning section is James Russo, VP of Global Consumer Insights for Nielsen, who will share his presentation, “Changing Tastes of the Consumer: Insights into What We Have Learned and What to Expect” and explore the economic impact on current and future trends of the private label segment.
The afternoon seminar will feature the University of Arizona Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) hosting a presentation on their latest accomplishments developing community outreach projects through the positive power of business. The programs will conclude on Tuesday with a session by Paul Rand, President of Word of Mouth Marketing Association, titled “Creating Talkable Brands: Driving Sales and Recommendations Through Word of Mouth Marketing” that will share insights into the best practices to ensure your brand becomes the most recommended in its category. In addition, the early Wednesday program features a discussion by Michael Sansolo from MorningNewsBeat.com based on his new book “The Big Picture: Management Lessons from the Movies,” a presentation on the movie/motivational stories that executives can easily apply to help motivate, articulate and engage their associates in creative ways. Attendees of the Wednesday session will also receive a free copy of Michael’s book.
