NFRA and Mr. Food Partner to Promote Frozen and Refrigerated Foods
Date: Tuesday, January 05, 2010
Harrisburg, PA—The National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association (NFRA) and Mr. Food will partner in 2010 to promote the benefits of frozen and refrigerated foods to consumers. As a national spokesperson for NFRA, Mr. Food will significantly increase the number of consumers who can be reached with the messages of convenience, versatility, quality and taste of frozen and refrigerated foods.
For more than 30 years, Mr. Food, a.k.a. Art Ginsburg, has been presenting no-fuss recipes on local news broadcasts across the country. His syndicated vignette airs in more than 120 television markets with 4 to 6 million viewers tuning in daily. His philosophy of “quick & easy” cooking resonates with today’s busy families and represents America’s true eating habits. He is a natural fit as an industry spokesperson as he consistently urges audiences to embrace the convenience of using frozen and refrigerated foods in recipes.
During each of NFRA’s annual promotions for March Frozen Food Month, June Dairy Month, Summer Favorites Ice Cream & Novelties and October Cool Food for Kids, Mr. Food will be an integral part of the overall marketing plan. He will help spread the word about these industry events and promote frozen and refrigerated foods to consumers in his recipes and through his show using his well-known signature tagline “Ooh It’s So Good!!”
Throughout the year, Mr. Food’s influence will be seen on the EasyHomeMeals.com consumer website, in NFRA’s newsletters and at the National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Convention. He will also be developing recipes for use in NFRA’s consumer media initiatives. Mr. Food will provide NFRA and the industry with an effective third party endorsement of the value in frozen and refrigerated foods.
