Frozen & Refrigerated Foods of Central
Florida (FRFCF) celebrated its 20th anniversary
as an association on June 9, 2005 with a social hour for the
membership in Tampa, FL. FRFCF was officially formed to support
the growing need for product category merchandising. Over
the past 20 years, the association has won 3 Gold Penguin
and 11 Silver Penguin awards from NFRA for excellence in merchandising
frozen and refrigerated foods. The June 9 event also included
the installation of the new president, Joan Sogan with Advantage
Sales & Marketing Tampa.

that Ǽvar Agnarsson has been appointed
President and CEO. Agnarsson has been the president and CEO
of Samband of Iceland in the U.S. since 2005. He was previously

Lakeside Foods recently announced the promotion
of Kathy Olson to Application Programming Manager
at Lakeside Foods Corporate office. Olson joined Lakeside
in 1989 as a programmer and was promoted to Systems Analyst/Programmer
in 1994, the position held prior to her promotion. In her
new position, Olson will be responsible for planning for and
support of Lakesides computer software applications.

SYSCO Corporation has announced Thomas
E. Lankford is retiring as president and chief operating
officer after a 41-year career in the foodservice distribution
industry. Lankford will also resign SYSCOs Board of
Directors. Richard J. Schneiders, SYSCOs
chairman and chief executive officer, will assume the additional
role of president.
SYSCO Corporation also announced the following
appointments: George A. Futris has been named
president and chief operating officer of Sysco Food Services
of Jackson, LLC, a broadline foodservice distribution subsidiary
located in Jackson, MS. Michael S. Headrick has
been named president and chief executive officer of Sysco
Food Services of Raleigh, LLC, a broadline foodservice distribution
subsidiary that will open in Raleigh, NC in the fall of 2005.

Golbon announced the addition of DixieLand
Foods as their newest distributor member. DixieLand started
in 1976 as a broadline distributor to schools and daycares
