Official Annual Meeting Notice
The National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association is please to extend an invitation to all NFRA members for the 62nd Annual Membership Meeting & Luncheon. Pursuant to Article II, Sections 3 & 4 of the bylaws of the Association, the Annual Meeting will be held during the National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Convention on Monday, October 9, 2006 in Orlando,FL.

The Annual Meeting will begin with a luncheon at 12:00 noon in the Orlando World Center Marriott Resort. All members of NFRA are full voting members and are eligible to vote during this Annual Meeting. The senior or designated officer at each NFRA member company represented at the Annual Meeting shall cast his/her company’s official vote.

Become a Participating Brand of the 2007 March Frozen Food Month Promotion
Plans are already underway for another big promotion in March 2007. NFRA is again exploring a movie tie-in to add an exciting element to the event. The promotion will include a 3-page FSI, a consumer sweepstakes, themed point of sale materials and the Golden Penguin competition. NFRA is now taking commitments from brands that want to participate in the FSI. This program offers national circulation and couponing opportunities at a huge savings over placing your own FSI. NFRA is planning a 2-page FSI with over 21 million circulation and consumer sweepstakes to promote June Dairy Month in 2007. Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. is providing regional flood relief by accepting customer contributions to aid flood victims in Pennsylvania and New York State’s Southern Tier via a checkout donation program. In Pennsylvania, 100 percent of donations will go to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief for 2006 flood victims. In New York, all money donated will be split evenly among Catholic Charities, CHOW food pantry, and the Salvation Army. Wegmans has already contributed $100,000 toward flood relief in New York, Pennsylvania and parts of New Jersey. In response to the disaster, the company’s stores contributed food, hot meals, and water for victims and volunteers.
