Golbon recently announced the addition of H & R Foods L.P. of Amarillo, TX. H & R was founded in 1969 as an independent C.O.P. distributor. Today their primary focus revolves around their processing plant offerings to their independent restaurants and schools. Currently H & R services accounts within a 150-mile radius of Amarillo, including Oklahoma, Kansas and New Mexico.

Inland Cold Storage recently announced the groundbreaking on their newest facility on Sierra Pine Blvd. in Vernon, CA. The state-of-the-art refrigerated public warehouse will cover 160,000 square feet with a capacity of 20,000 pallet positions. It is scheduled to open in the fall of 2006 and will become the seventieth facility in the growing ICS family, bringing total capacity to more than 25 million cubic feet of refrigerated and frozen storage.

Produce for Better Health recently announced they will reprise the Wal-Mart Colorful Fruit and Vegetable Promotion. Charlie Brown and his friends are returning to Wal-Mart stores nationwide for the second year with activity books, stickers, point of sale materials and recipes designed to make learning about fruits and vegetables fun. "Treat Yourself to Good Health" is the seventh event sponsored by PBH and Wal-Mart, and the third of four events staged this year; five more are planned for 2006.
